A Sunset for the Birds

The other night we wandered down to Seacliff State Beach. It is one of my favorite locations in the Santa Cruz area because of an old ship that rests in peace there. It has become a home for birds and sea lions mainly and is a great place to take some photographs. Imagine our surprise when we discovered thousands of birds in the water and on the beach when we arrived. A big area of the ocean literally looked black from the density of the birds on it. This was one of my more open areas. I just liked it because it also showed the pier and ship in the background. I’m not really sure what the birds were after in the water but they sure were aggressive about it. Any ideas? It definitely made for a fun evening adventure!

Make it a GREAT day!
