On the Fourth of July the Disneyland Resort is one of the most patriotic places to visit. It has the most fantastic fireworks (or water works if you prefer to watch World of Color’s patriotic presentation). It has the best music. It has the best guest performers as well.

This year, the United States Air Force Honor Guard from Washington D.C. and the United States 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band from Miramar, CA were joined by United States Air Force Band of the Golden West from San Francisco, CA to provide patriotic presentations in the way only the United States Armed Forces can.

From July 2 through July 5, the United States Air Force Honor Guard from Washington D.C. could be found doing its routines in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. On the Fourth of July, their color guard also joined the Patriotic Flag Retreat in Town Square, USA. A special presentation was offered in Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree on that day as well. They were in perfect sync as they worked through their drills and wowed the crowds. The sound of their rifles was particularly impressive as they all clicked at the very same instant.

For the Fourth of July the United States 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band from Miramar, CA performed throughout Disneyland. This group looked and sounded amazing as they brought the patriotic sound and spirit as they marched in perfect precision. A breakout rock group also performed in Downton Disney in the morning.

On the 5th and 6th United States Air Force Band of the Golden West from San Francisco, CA performed rock hits in Downtown Disney as well, offering a more modern taste of patriotism.

These photos were taken by photographer Richard T. and he graciously shared them with us to offer a visual look at this very patriotic weekend at the Disneyland Resort.

Did you spent Independence Day at the Disneyland Resort? If so, what was your favorite part of your experience?
