My D23 Expo 2015 Highlights & Experience: Day Three

After having at least more than four hours of sleep, Sunday was already off to a great start. Last day of the D23 Expo 2015…time to catch up with everything.

Day Three: Sunday

With no real need to camp out in Hall E, I was able to actually get sleep. With that in mind, we still had to get in line a few hours before the expo opened. Doors were set to open at 9 a.m., so a spot in line was achieved at 7 a.m.

Only a two hour wait this time, not that bad.

Once doors opened, it appeared as if most people were heading to line up for the Disney Dream Store and Mickey’s of Glendale. Number one thing on my do to list; Mickey’s of Glendale. I had in mind a few pins I saw on Instagram, but sadly the limited edition Walt Disney Imagineering pins I wanted were sold out in mere hours back on Friday. But still, I waited in line for about an hour and a half to get a glimpse of the other cool merchandise in the store.

The store offered a bunch of unique items that are technically only available for Walt Disney Imagineers. This is pretty much one of the only few times a year that the general public can purchase items of this type. Inside was that of limited editions pins. WDI pins, t shirts, sweatshirts, bags, hats and tons more.

Once my quick spending splurge was over, it was time for lunch. What amazed me was the short line for food and how empty the expo was in general. So not jam packed like Saturday. Also, I was thrilled to find an enjoyable vegetarian item. Everywhere I looked, the veggie burgers were sold out and the salads contained some type of meat. So, I was happy to order a veggie stack. The stack included sprouts, tomatoes, cucumbers and humus, all on wheat bread. Yum!

The rest of the day included exploring the exhibit vendors, the Emporium sections of A, B and C. That included buying pins and other goodies. There were so many things to look at, it was a bit overwhelming.

One of the great highlights of the day was having the chance to meet Bill Farmer and Jason Marsden. Better known as the current voice of Goofy and Max. I had the pleasure to meet these two wonderful people. Goofy is my top favorite Disney character, so to meet Bill, it was a huge deal. Both were very kind and easy to talk to.

Overall day three was fun. I was a bit burned out from the past two day, so taking it easy was totally the way to go. This entire weekend was great. I met so many people and had a chance to hang out with the wonderful DAPs Magic crew and more.

D23 Expo 2015 was a complete success. If you attended, what was your favorite part?
