What’s Next Presentation in Carsland Details Future of DCA, Disney Cruise Lines, and Aulani!
This morning at approximately 11:00 we were escorted into Carsland for the What’s Next presentation.
This presentation covered first and foremost, the future of the Disneyland Resort. A bulk of the time for this part of the presentation was spent on Disney California Adventure. I will be going more into depth about all of the details of this event next week, but for now I’ll give you a couple of quick things. George Kalogridis gave us a great update on where Disney California Adventure is headed and what it will look like when done. It will be much like what Walt Disney saw when he came to California. We also got to see a pretty cool update on where Carsland is right now. It was done via a camera atop the Twighlight Zone Tower of Terror. We even got to see ourselves live on camera! I will say this about that part of the presentation. I am MUCH more excited today about Carsland than I was yesterday!
We were also treated to information about the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Fantasy. It’s going to be AMAZING! I was excited to read about the Disney Dream and see all of Marcy Massura’s coverage last year on the maiden voyage of the Dream… I can’t wait to see what happens with the Fantasy!
They also gave us an amazing look at Aulani! This resort is going to be absolutely amazing! It will couple the best of Hawaii with the best of Disney. Really, both of them are already a natural fit. Hearing about all the little details that are being worked on for this resort really made me want to go and experience it! The end of this presentation found a group of dancers coming on stage and dancing to a traditional Hawaiian song. Mickey and Minnie Mouse also joined in, wearing their Hawaiian tourist garb.
Overall, this was a wonderful presentation. As I mentioned before, I will be posting more specific details about this event over on DAPs Magic Disney News so keep your eyes peeled!
