Things I Love Thursday: Disney Style
Hello everyone! Welcome to this week’s Things I Love Thursday: Disney Style. Today’s TILT blog is our last stop on my journey around the park. I have saved the best for last, New Orleans Square! New Orleans Square is my favorite land in the park and I am so excited to talk about it in this week’s blog! So without further delay, I present this week’s TILT!
Haunted Mansion- As everyone knows, The Haunted Mansion is my all time favorite ride. It would have been unlike me to not add it to this blog. One reason I don’t talk about as often though is my love for the special effects used in the ride. Even though I know how a majority of them illusions are done, the ride still remains magical to me because I know how much effort was put into them.
Court de Anges- The Court de Anges is located near the Christmas Ornament Store in New Orleans Square. In this quiet little nook, you can have a pastel portrait drawn or just savor the peace and quiet of this intimate location. This is one of the best places in the park to grab a few photos and during Christmas, it is full of holiday décor that makes for a great Christmas card photo op.
Pommes Frites- Pommes Frites are traditional french-fried potatoes tossed with parmesan cheese, garlic and parsley, served with a Cajun spice remoulade. They are served at Café Orleans and are totally amazing! Paired with a Monte Cristo, there is no better meal in the park (except for maybe something at Club 33). I am definitely looking forward to getting some Pommes Frites this August!
Scenery-One of my favorite things to do at Disneyland is to stroll along the narrow corridors of New Orleans Square. I love that while walking through this small area you can run into a Mardi Gras band, you can listen to The Royal Street Bachelors, and even bump into the Bootstrutters! There is so much to see in this small area that it can overload your senses.
I hope you all enjoyed our journey around the Disneyland Resort! Next week I will be talking about some of my favorite things about Disneyland in general in honor of its 56th birthday! If you have any ideas or themes you’d like to see me write about, I’m up for the challenge! Leave your comments and feedback in the comments below!
Have a Magical Day!
