DAPsPix - the DAPs Magic Geeks Corner Photo of the Week Experience!

Hey Everyone! This year has really been the year of photography for me. I’ve always enjoyed it in the past but this year I really decided to focus on it and hone my skills. It has been a bit of a process and there have been some things I liked and some things that I didn’t like with what I’ve done. However, it has really been a fun process. From posting on twitter and instagram to my daily photo of the day on mrdaps.com, I have pushed to come up with creative and engaging photos that I like and hopefully you do as well.

Talking with a friend this morning, I thought it could be fun to take this endeavor to the next level. To do this, I came up with #DAPsPix. #DAPsPix will be a twitter based adventure we take each week together to share our best photos! At the end of the week, I will make a post here on Geeks Corner with some of the best photos from the week! How’s that sound? Are you as excited about this as I am?

How DAPsPix Works:

A theme will be picked weekly and posted on DAPs Magic Geeks Corner (generally with the previous week’s photos).
Participants take photos of something with said theme.
Participants can then tweet their photos with the hashtag #DAPsPix
Mr. DAPs and a few friends will pick their favorites for the week and post them along with new theme for coming week.

This should be fairly simple and fairly fun. I hope we can get a ton of people and really make this a big thing each week!

For the first week, I talked to my friend Ashley and we though it’d be fun to choose “Mickey” as the theme. So… start tweeting photos that are somehow related to “Mickey” in any way with the hashtag #DAPsPix! Next week we’ll pick some of our favorites and post them on DAPs Magic Geeks Corner and we’ll be on our way! Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with! Be creative! Be fun!
