Song Saturday: Disney Style (Alice)
Time for another Pogo remix! And actually, this is one of his most popular (and oldest) remixes which is why of all his videos, it’s got the most views. And yes, friends, we’re talking Alice!
Alice was uploaded onto Youtube on July 18, 2007 and became an instant craze. It was the first of its kind and this was back when Youtube was still relatively young. It uses clips from the 1951 animated Disney film Alice in Wonderland. Part of the reason why people like it is because of the somewhat psychedelic and dream-like quality it has, not very different from the tone and atmosphere of the Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland books themselves (though the novels themselves are based on Lewis Carroll’s displeasure at new mathematical techniques).
It’s the type of thing that grows on you and once it does, you’ll absolutely love it!
