Welcome to Mr. DAPs’ Railway. For those of you who don’t know, I love trains. I grew up living in several small towns. In each town, a highlight was always getting to see the trains. When I lived in Parkdale, Oregon it was all about the Mount Hood Railroad. In Minnesota, the Mesabi trains would deliver iron ore to Duluth where they would offload onto the ships that would take them through the Lake Superior to destinations in other Great Lakes. On vacations, Trains were quite often a part of the excursions with a highlight definitely being the White Pass & Yukon Railroad in Skagway, Alaska.Model trains came into my life when my Dad spent months in our basement building a HO-Scale train for my brother and I for Christmas when lived in Iowa. I was probably six years old. I still have that train today and it really was instrumental in creating a foundation for the love of trains that I have today. As the years went by, I found myself fascinated with model train sets around the globe. Then as I grew in my knowledge and love of Disney, it turned out that Walt Disney was also a train buff… perhaps one of the ultimate train buffs. His love of trains led to one of my favorite Disneyland attractions (the Disneyland Railroad).I have two train setups today that are in progress at my house. The original railway is HO-Scale. The newest railway is my new garden Railway is G-Scale (G-Guage) and runs through a corner of my backyard. It was built with future expansion in mind. Originally it was in another section of the backyard but this newer location made for better viewing and operation.

This page will continue to be updated as we continue to work and update the train. I hope you enjoy it!

Make it a GREAT day!
