A 22 year old Disneyland cast member has been arrested after allegedly setting off a small explosion with dry ice in a water bottle. This was deposited into a trash can in Toon Town where it exploded around 5:30pm yesterday. This small explosion caused the evacuation and closure of Toon Town for about two hours while authorities investigated and the safety of guests was inspected.
Following the incident, Anaheim Police led the investigation and scoured video, the internet, and social media platforms looking for clues.
Christian Barnes of Long Beach is on outdoor vending cast member who has been arrested and is currently being held on $1 million bail. According to police, he is cooperating and that this was something that had “unanticipated impacts.”
