On November 1, 2013 Thor will be coming to Disneyland…sort of. Thor: Treasures of Asgard will be a new exhibit found in Tomorrowland’s Innoventions. It will feature artifacts from Asgard that were brought to Earth by Astrophysicist Jane Foster, to create this special exhibit. According to the Disney Parks Blog, Foster has been studying Bifrost (what allows Thor to travel between the Nine Realms and also Earth). Once guests have experienced this exhibit they will be able to use Bifrost to transport to Asgard and meet Thor himself.
This new experience is being presented in preparation for Thor: The Dark World, which will also be coming to theaters in November. In this movie, Thor will be facing an ancient race of Dark Elves, led by Malekith, who are trying to plunge the universe into darkness.
Thor: The Dark World will be coming to theaters on November 8, 2013.
