Jodi Benson, voice of The Little Mermaid, Lends Voice to Save Music Program

Jodi Benson sings the music of The Little Mermaid at opening of Little Mermaid Attraction at Disneyland Resort

Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid, recently lent her voice to help save the Mosaic Preparatory Academy’s music department. This was done through a program called Broadway Inspirational Voices (BIV). Both Jodi Benson and BIV are strong supporters of music programs in schools. Part of Jodi Benson’s efforts to save this program involved her singing Part of Your World while students signed what she was singing. This also was appropriate as The Little Mermaid was just released on Blu-Ray Diamond Edition as well (read review here).

This experience was a thrill and honor for the students of Mosaic Preparatory Academy. For many, this was a dream come true.  The fact that it also saved a program made for an all around incredible experience.

Mosaic Preparatory Academy is a PreK-6 public elementary school in East Harlem in New York, New York.

How much would you geek out if Jodi Benson sang Part of Your World live to you?
