5 Reasons To Attend A Disney Halloween Party

With Fall fast approaching, Disney has started Halloween celebrations in Florida, and will soon be hosting swinging wakes in Southern California. As the parties creep closer, tickets to the events start going faster than you can yell “Boo!”. To help make your decision on not missing these events, I’ve put together my top 5 reasons to not miss it on either coast!

  1. Unlimited PhotoPass Downloads A new perk this year, when you attend the Halloween parties, you get unlimited PhotoPass downloads of every part of your night! In past years, there was a fee to download any pictures taken by PhotoPass cast members, but this year, all you have to do is get yourself to the party!
  2. Candy Candy isn’t just for the kids! There are plenty of Trick-or-Treat stations set up all around the party, and while Disney will give you a small souvenir bag at the start of the festivities, you can bring your own bags to make sure your sweet tooth is taken care of! Not a fan of candy? There are also healthy options set up at every station!
  3. Costumes During normal operating hours, guests over 14 attending Disney parks are not permitted to wear costumes. During the Halloween parties though, entire families can dress up together! There are still some rules on what can and can’t get through the gates, so be sure to check that out before you plan your costume!
  4. Characters Find Mickey and the gang dressed up in their spooky best and ready to meet you! You can find characters dressed up in outfits that only come out for Halloween parties, so get your cameras and smiles ready!
  5. Entertainment No matter what coast you attend a Halloween party on, there will be plenty of exciting entertainment offerings to get you through the night! In Walt Disney World, there is a special castle show that joins the Sanderson sisters of Hocus Pocus with Disney villains for a wickedly good time! Disneyland features the headless horseman, as he rides down Main Street. Both parks have their own variations of themed parades and fireworks, making it a great way to end your spooky celebration!

No matter who you are, there is frighteningly good fun waiting around every corner of a Halloween party for you! Will you be attending this year?
