runDisney Medals Revealed for the 2019 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

The Walt Disney World Marathon takes place this coming January. This magical weekend will have thousands of guests descending on the Walt Disney World Resort to run in the various races. This last week, the medals for all of these races were revealed by runDisney.

There is a new medal added to the lineup this year. The Walt Disney World 5K will feature Oswald the Lucky Rabbit making his race debut. This new medal featuring the lucky rabbit will be available as racers finish this 5K. What do you think of it?

For the exceptionally brave, there are some other running opportunities. This includes the Goofy Challenge for 39.3 miles or Dopey Challenge for those who want to run 48.6 miles. There are special medals for those running in these challenges. Also, the Disney Castaway Cay Challenge returns for its fifth year. This is an extra special opportunity for those runners aboard the Disney Cruise Line.

There are also new opportunities for the young ones in the runDisney Kids Races. Starting in 2019, there will be the runDisney Kids Dashes and One Mile Run. The medals for these feature Mickey Mouse and Pluto.

And then there is the Walt Disney World Marathon medal. For completing 26.2 miles of running through Walt Disney World, guests will receive a medal featuring Mickey Mouse himself.
