At this morning’s D23’s Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse event, we got so much exciting news regarding how the parks and resorts will be changing! Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek gave us an inside look into how our experiences will be changing, with the inspiration coming from our very own Mickey Mouse!
Disneyland Resort will be taken over by Get Your Ears On: A Mickey and Minnie Celebration. With this fun time to be at the park will come new and exclusive food, entertainment and merchandise! Part of the festivities will include “Mickey’s Mix Magic”, a nighttime show 
beginning January 18. Disneyland Park will light up with all-new music, projections, and lasers that will transform Disneyland Park into a dance party! From what we can see, this nighttime spectacular looks like a lot of fun and we can’t wait to see this in action.
Just Wait! A Celebration of Mickey Mouse wouldn’t be complete without a parade! As we announced earlier this year, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade is making a comeback! Not only is this fan-favorite returning to its home at Disneyland Park, but Mickey Mouse is getting an all-new float to lead the party down Main Street, USA! Mickey’s Soundsational Parade kicked off the fun in 2011 and has been continuing the party for the last seven years! Though it would take breaks so A Christmas Fantasy could make magic around the park, it would always come back to excited fans waiting all over the parade route.
We can’t wait until the Get Your Ears On celebration begins, and we can’t believe it’s only a short few months away! What are you most looking forward to in the coming year?
