Adventureland Sign Removed As Work Continues for Disneyland’s Project Stardust

The entrance to Adventureland looks a little different currently. The sign above the entrance is currently gone in an effort to expand the walkway entering the land. The removal of the sign and its eventual replacement is a part of Project Stardust. The goal is to be able to reuse the original sign and return it above the widened entrance.

Project Stardust has been an ongoing endeavor at the Disneyland Resort to ready it for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on May 31st. This project has included widening walkways, making planters smaller, and even the renovation of Sleeping Beauty Castle. When it is completed, Disneyland will be able to accommodate more guests than ever as they enter to not only visit the happiest place on Earth but also visit a Galaxy Far, Far Away!

Right now the entrance to Adventureland may look a little odd with its temporary sign in place welcoming guests. Expect to see a permanent fixture in place in the near future. 1. As someone who has been trying to negotiate that space with my 80+ year old mother in her wheelchair to get her to a restroom (where possibly not all the handicapped stalls are being monopolized by mothers with their three small children) for the last eleven years, I think it looks marvelous. I will look forward to appropriate signage in the future, but the flow already looks more promising.
