Disney’s “Aladdin” Delights Guests with Short Film Preview in Disneyland Resort

This week, Disney’s “Aladdin” opened up an exciting new preview in Disneyland! The sneak peek, which you can catch in the Opera House on Main Street U.S.A, allows you to see 15 minutes of the upcoming film. Not only can you get an exciting glimpse into what’s coming but you can also see props and costumes used from the upcoming film!

Lobby

When you step into the Opera House, you are transported to a world not too far from our own. Props from production fill the lobby and welcome you in to hear the tale of a street rat. These aren’t just any old props, though. Check out these unbelievable sights! Right in Disneyland, you can find everything from the magic carpet to the lamp itself! Though, we didn’t stumble upon any genies in Disneyland.

Sneak Peek

When you step inside the theater, Will Smith (Genie) and Mena Massoud (Aladdin) welcome you into the preview! When the lights dim, prepare yourself! Disney’s “Aladdin” will take you One Jump Ahead! I personally loved to see the new take on a song we already know and love. The new feel on the music updates it to our world and pulls you even deeper in. After we see Aladdin and Jasmine’s first meet, we get our introduction to the Cave of Wonders and our Genie. Will Smith does an excellent job of keeping the humor of Genie while not trying to recreate Robin Williams performance.

When I exited the theater, I was tapping my toes and had the music stuck in my head for the rest of the day. Normally, I leave previews with the same level of excitement that I had before I went in. This time, I was left excited and counting down the days until it hits theaters on May 24!
