Tokyo DisneySea to Get Even More Grand with Fantasy Springs Port Opening in 2022

As Disney parks continue to grow and change around the world, Tokyo is no stranger to expansion. Today it was announced that the newest port has a name! In 2022, be sure to visit Tokyo DisneySea to see the all-new Fantasy Springs Port!

Earlier this week, Bob Iger was in Tokyo to celebrate the groundbreaking of the eighth port at the resort. He was joined by Toshio Kagami, Chairman & CEO of Oriental Land Company. While Tokyo Disneyland Resort is a Disney theme park, it is operated by the Oriental Land Company, who pays Disney for the use of the properties and characters. Disney contracts Imagineers out to the company to help make the magic a reality!

The newest port will have three areas dedicated to beloved Disney films. Fantasy Springs will focus on “Frozen,” “Tangled” and “Peter Pan.” In this new area, you can find four new attractions and three new restaurants. There will also be a new hotel coming to Tokyo DisneySea that will overlook the newest expansion! We can’t wait to see how the resort looks when it is completed!

The port is the latest expansion coming to Tokyo, as Tokyo Disneyland is also going through a major expansion! We previously reported on the Beauty and the Beast attraction coming to the park, something we are still incredibly excited to see!
