Anniversaries and Animation – DISNEY Reporter

Welcome to this week’s edition of the DISNEY Reporter. Each week we strive to share the top headlines of the Disney and geek communities. This week there was a lot coming out of the Disneyland Resort and also the world of animation. At the Disneyland Resort, three attractions celebrated their 60th anniversary this week. They were the Matterhorn, Monorail, and Submarines. All were a part of the 1959 expansion and all opened on the same day. Over at Disney California Adventure, guests can now meet Bo Peep and Forky from Toy Story 4.

In movie news, Toy Story 4‘s world premiere was held this week at the El Capitan Theatre. Frozen 2 released a new trailer and images. Captain Marvel is now available for home entertainment viewing, DAPS MAGIC has posted a review of the release. There are also new details now available about the Ghostbusters sequel.

Finally, for guests who are hoping to bound on Batuu (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge), there are more details released about what is allowed and what is not.
